The aim of the AV TaxBench application is to make selected economic statistics and benchmarks available to the public so that the development of individual characteristics for selected sectors of the economy as a whole can be monitored, as well as data and graphical comparisons at the level of specific accounting units.The purpose of benchmarking is to determine the position of your own company on the market and improve it on the basis of comparison with the competition, with an emphasis on using your own strengths and suppressing your own shortcomings. Learning from competing companies should also be part of improvement.It is based on the analysis of data on the economic results of entities, from which "benchmarks" corresponding to the standard behavior of a given group of units are quantified in successive steps.The calculation method is based on determining the interval of normal (expected) values, the so-called "Benchmarks" for individual financial performance indicators of entities, calculated from publicly available values of annual financial statements.The quantified "benchmarks" are intended to help businesses to compare their business results with those with a similar focus."Benchmarks" are always updated on an annual basis after the end of the given financial year.The AV TaxBench application uses for benchmarking: • publicly available data from the financial statements of Slovak entities • data history from 2014 • Ability to define a list of companies to compare • for each of the indicators, the calculation of benchmarks for the breakdown according to the following criteria: • year • predominant activity (NACE up to level 2) • end • district • calculation and graphical display of 23 reference indicators:Liquidity ratios • Ready liquidity, 1st level liquidity • Current liquidity, 2nd level liquidity • Total liquidity, level 3 liquidityActivity indicators • Income and turnover tax share • Share of trade margin and turnover • The share of costs for hosp. activity and turnover • Share of personnel costs and turnover • Inventory turnover time • Turnover time of short-term receivables • Asset turnover time • Repayment period of liabilities • Turnover of assetsDebt ratios • Degree of self-financing • Degree of indebtedness • Leverage • Interest coverage • Insolvency • Coverage of fixed assetsProfitability indicators • Profitability of ROS sales • Profitability of revenues • Return on capital ROI • Return on ROA assets • Return on equity ROE • calculation and graphical display of the index of differences of companies over time
